Ticktock Property
Iskut-Eskay rift segment of the Stikine terrane, Golden Triangle, British Columbia · 23 km NW of past-producing Eskay Creek, between Enduro Metals' Newmont Lake and Aben Resources' Forrest-Kerr. Eskay-style VMS and Cu-Au porphyry targets.
Iskut-Eskay Rift Segment, Golden Triangle.
Ticktock sits within the Stikine terrane of northwestern British Columbia, in the Iskut-Eskay rift segment of the broader Golden Triangle. The property is located between Enduro Metals' Newmont Lake property and Aben Resources' Forrest-Kerr property in the Skeena Mining Division.
Two primary deposit-style targets are recognized in this part of the Golden Triangle:
Eskay-style VMS / volcanogenic precious-metal-rich subaqueous-volcanic-hosted Au-Ag, hosted in Lower Jurassic Hazelton Group felsic volcanic rocks and overlying mudstones. This is the deposit style of the past-producing Eskay Creek mine.
Cu-Au porphyry, associated with Early Jurassic to Eocene intermediate-to-felsic intrusive complexes that occur throughout the Iskut-Stewart-Galore camps. KSM and Galore Creek are regional analogs for this targeting model.
Ground-specific targets will be defined by further mapping, sampling and geophysics, building on the vendor work summarized below.
Near the Stuhini–Hazelton Contact.
The property lies wholly within the Stikine terrane, close to the contact between the Triassic Stuhini Group and the Jurassic Hazelton Group, informally known as the “Kyba red line”, which is spatially associated with many deposits in the Golden Triangle. It is underlain primarily by quartz diorite and lesser biotite diorite to tonalite of the McClymont Plutonic Suite, intruded by the younger, post-accretionary quartz-monzonitic McClymont Creek Pluton. Slivers of Devonian–Silurian Stikine Assemblage limestone host skarn-style mineralization in the northern part of the property.
Glacier coverage on the property retreated markedly between 2013 and 2020, exposing outcrop that was previously under ice.
- Northern zone
- Skarn & massive sulphidePyrite, chalcopyrite, arsenopyrite and magnetite in massive sulphide lenses, possibly with overlapping vein-hosted gold
- Eastern zone
- Probable skarnPyrite and malachite mineralization; very limited data
- Southern zone
- Gold-bearing quartz veinsQuartz veining and stockworks within volcanic rocks
Prior work includes multi-element soil geochemistry (Cu, Au, Ag, Mo, As, Sb, Zn, plus a 2022 soil program) and partial coverage by two regional airborne surveys: a 2013 VTEM and magnetic survey flown over the adjoining Forrest-Kerr property, and a 2018 survey over the Big Mac property. Total magnetic intensity suggests a north-northeast trend, with a magnetic high interpreted to reflect Devonian diorite surrounded by marine sediments.
- Road access
- Within 4 kmvia the Eskay Creek mine access road off BC Highway 37 North; property access by helicopter
- Infrastructure
- Forrest-Kerrrun-of-river hydroelectric station and camp nearby, usable to support exploration
- Neighbours
